Privacy Policy

Briflio (“Briflio,” “we,” “us”) distills the day's news, perspectives, and knowledge into one calm feed. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Briflio on the web or in our iOS/Android apps, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

• Account details — your email address and (optionally) a display name. Your password is never stored in plain text; we keep only a securely hashed version.
• Activity in the app — the stories you save or like, community pulses you post, and which items you've been shown (“impressions”). We use impressions to vary your feed so you don't see the same cards in the same order every session.
• Guest sessions — if you preview Briflio without an account, we create a temporary session identifier. No email or password is collected for guests.
• Technical data — standard request information (such as IP address and device/browser type) processed by our hosting providers to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

• Provide and maintain your account and feed.
• Personalize the ordering of content so it stays fresh for you.
• Let you save stories, post to the community, and sync across your devices.
• Keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Storage on your device

We store a sign-in token and lightweight feed cache in your browser's or app's local storage so you stay signed in and the feed loads quickly. These are not advertising cookies.

Service providers

We rely on infrastructure providers to host the application and database and to deliver email (for example, account verification). These providers process data only to perform services for us. Briflio also links out to original news and knowledge sources; those external sites have their own privacy policies, which we don't control.

Your choices and rights

• Access & update — view and edit your display name and preferences from your profile.
• Delete your account — open your profile menu and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your account and associated data — including saved/liked stories, community posts and comments, impressions, sessions, and credentials. You can also email us at hello@briflio.com to request deletion.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove the associated personal data from our active systems.

Children

Briflio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
